susan jamison does albino deer

i've seen susan jamison's work around the internet for a while now, (she was even in the first show phantasmaphile curated) but it wasn't until i went searching for proper images of albino deer to satisfy my latest obsession that i really looked at her work. it reminds me a little of one of my favorite painters jennybird alcantara & i'm interested in the repetition of the odd, bald, tattooed//veined figure. it's weird and beautiful & made of egg tempra (!!!) i'm particularly hypnotized by the above three with the lovely inclusions of the albino deer. i just wish i could find the images bigger!
p.s. have any of you seen an albino deer in real life? please tell me the story!!!!

I was lucky enough to see a white deer in the wyre forest a couple of years back it was a very brief and truly amazing encounter,i cant truly say if it was an albino or a leucistic deer, but to see it first hand is an experience i will never forget.

Ladyfriend, you should go here: http://www.senecawhitedeer.org/ It's a reservation of white deer. I have been dying to go myself, perhaps a roadtrip is in order? (Also, I owe you an email - soon!) XOXO
