even more sneaks of lust worthy art via the upcoming jonathan levine gallery 5 year anniversary party / opening come from philly native adam wallacavage. as a renaissance man who has a great eye for photography, he also makes the impressive and fantastical chandeliers that have graced nearly every cool place here in philly and beyond. i'm especially digging the batty one.

i just stumbled upon this new mark ryden painting! he's having a show, 'the gay 90's: an olde tyme art show' at paul kasmin gallery in nyc which is thrilling to me because it means i'll actually be able to see an entire body of work of his in person for the first time! the work seems to be somewhat of a throw back to his glorious "meat" days, which has some of my favorite pieces.

i have about 50 days before my show at topstitch, opening first friday / good friday. the show, 'catholica melancholia' will include portraits of joan of arc & the virgin mary in various re imaginings. i'll also be having a bloodmilk trunk show opening night as well, which is very exciting because despite my muteness on that front, i've been secretly conjuring so many new odd jewels. it's going to be a long hellish way from ash wednesday to good friday. purging by painting.

i just don't know about this editorial in the march german vogue. although, i have been digging karl's risks lately. his minnie mouse hair was rad. but while this site only moonlights as a fashion site, i must say that claudia schiffer as frida kahlo must be making her turn in her grave. or not. she was one for a good grotesque shock.

i used to watch / obsess over mtv oddities when i was in teenage wasteland. thrilled they are now finally offering the maxx & the head on dvd. now if they'll only put out the bettlejuice cartoons........
