wrestling the ego.

after reading everyone's responses about what they are passionate about in life, i realized my own initial words on the topic were rather flippant. above all else, i am passionate about language. primarily written language & it's ways of taking physical shapes that can wound. visual language. the personal languages we create with our friends and lovers. the specific languages of our jobs. silent languages. . . . . .

when i stumbled across the brilliant & melancholy work of robert montgomery i was dazzled. not only by his bold choice of venues, but by his simple language that was able to electrocute me.

yes. love this post so much. it was a beautiful and important gesture — you asking others what they are passionate about. if only we took the time to ask this more: what do you dream about? what do you love? how can i love you more?
