lately:
*reading / absorbing: 'the look of love.' i've always been fascinated by miniatures, especially these disembodied eye portraits made to be worn as a brooch or ring. truly romantic in nature, they often spoke of secret love and endless devotion . . . & has also always been something i hope to add to bloodmilk in the future.
*patiently waiting for this book to come out.
* listening to chelsea wolfe non-stop since her live show. she has a live record coming out soon !
*dreaming of here.
*thinking of this.
* i pulled this image off of my tumblr. its sadly uncredited, but maybe one of you know its author ?
i feel akin to this image somehow, working my wrists bones off and yet fashioned in the fanciful fabric of luck. i feel so lucky to have this life, filled with beauty, despite the enormous sea that washes over me sometimes.
thank you always, for meeting me here.

I did some searching and it appears the picture is originally in colour and taken by a Michaela Knizova! Here's a link to her blog, the picture is a few pages back http://michaelaknizova.blogspot.se/
If you're searching for the source of a picture, a tip is to pull it into the google images search bar, I often find things that way!
that moma exhibit looks fantastic! as does the frida book...there's an exhibit coming up at the ago (art gallery of ontario, in toronto) that features her and diego's work, and i can't wait to see it! :)
that image is haunting. love it.
Life is beautiful, even in sadness. I wouldn't want to be happy all the time, I need the darkness too sometimes.
