night travels.

when i was younger i used to try separating my spirit from my body as i had read we are able to do. although i never succeeded and now liken this desire to something closer to mediation than to a literal splitting or unstitching, i'm still fascinated by the concept. do our souls truly reflect everything in our hearts? even the depth of it's darkness, the nuances of it's lightness?
these sculptures by christina bothwell reminds me of my charmed youthful adventures and these mad thoughts i've been having as of late of goodness vs. badness, souls vs. our humanly bodies. beautifully made of cast glass and raku clay, i'd give a palm full of eyelashes to see one in person.

I have never seen anything like this. What a wonderful way to create a sense of the spirit leaving the body. Love it.

Amazing! I used to think about that too, when I was a kid. I did yoga as well, I didn't know what I was doing, it was just fun bending while watching tv. I tried astral travel in high school as well as lucid dreaming, both of them I could get to a decent point with- I use astral travel at the dentist. That's how I met my spirit guide. :)
