rose moon give a way.

Untitled

in honor of this month's beautiful rose full moon, & as a way to say thanks for all the kind words and support i've gotten recently, i've decided to give a way one mini planchette necklace in sterling silver. this small gem is half the size of the original planchette necklace and comes also comes with a tiny viewfinder set into the planchette. when i originally created this piece, i was thinking of how the planchette as a symbol explores the strange notion of speaking with the dead, and in a way also, speaking with the unseen and unexplored parts of yourself. i never imagined how many people would love this image as much as i do and i like thinking of all of you out there wearing my version of it.

to enter to win one of these little lovelies, leave a comment to this post, even if it's just to say hi! be sure to leave your email so i can reach you should lady luck fortune you !

one winner will be chose on june 13th.

this is open to international readers as well.

please only comment once and be aware that i have to moderate my comments (i get so much spam comments!), so it will not show up automatically.

thank you, always.

Planchette is fine word. It's sounds dainty and whimsical on the tongue and looks French. Well, it is French for "little plank" (thanks Wikipedia!) They're heart-shaped, too. Awesome. Combined with its connection to Ouija boards, the supernatural, it's one of my favorite words. Planchette's are cool.

P.S. Bloodmilk has the best jewelry. I love your stuff! Thank you for holding this contest. Hope is a great enough gift, but that necklace would be stellar!

Jess, i purchased your swan ring a year ago and get so many compliments on it. i love that ring and it's become part of my ritual wear. my husband was just introduced to your website with the statement "if you want to buy me something, go here and get this....or this...or...." the mini planchette would be a fabulous addition to my ritual wear! (A statement that i make about all your work). Love the new website. ;-)

Hi Mrs. "J", this pendant reminds me of the time in our youth at your birthday party. I remember when I brought my oujia board to the party and you coincidentaly received one as a gift..using both at the same time was a unique experience that has never left my mind to this day! I am so proud of you seeing that you are still the girl who was true to her heart. Your art blog is refreshing and wonderfully intuitive...it makes me smile to still see a kindred spirit. I wish you continued success and hope we may reconnect one day. Take Care!

I just got my Master's degree in Early Modern Literature and drama studies. My research interests involve science, medicine, and the occult in non-canonical Elizabethan drama, poetry, and argument. I wrote many a paper with periodic visits to your etsy site and blog for inspiration. If people with educations like mine could actually get jobs right now, I would be a frequent customer. May all our hard work be fruitful and manifest are best and highest potential.

Post scriptum: if I win the prize, I will feed the gods wine, fruit, and wormwood grass in celebration.

I just graduated with my Master's degree in Early Modern Literature. I study science, medicine, and the occult in Elizabethan non-canonical drama, especially revenge tragedies. While writing my papers this year, I periodically visited your etsy page and blog for inspiration. If I won a piece, I would wear it everyday in honor of all that makes life sweet and hypnotizing.

i have been thinking so much of my mother these days, of needing that line of communication, a thread that connects this world to the one beyond that gossamer veil to the metatherial. your deep connection to this subject within your art always leaves me in such awe and admiration for what you do. i wish that one day all of us lost daughters, you, me, ellen (rogers), lau, could gather and share space and discuss these things.

i am coming in at the very last moment, but i at least wanted to be able to say these words and let you know how much your work means to me. xx.
